White Stuff showcase artists work in store - January 27, 2012

White Stuff are currently showcasing the work of Bristol based artist Clare Cutts.

Clare's prints are a personal response to the words of others and to the natural world. Collecting phrases, sayings, poems, and song, from the past and present, from the famous and the everyday is one form of inspiration; being captivated by the natural beauty within the city is another. Clare will occasionally find herself driving to work in the wrong direction just to pass an interesting tree.

Clare takes a multitude of photographs and drawings of the sources of her inspiration and uses them to as the basis for a print. All her prints have a simplicity of colour, line and form that encapsulate the essence of the subject.
